Kayla Navarrete is a paralegal at De Armas & De Armas Law. Kayla became interested in the legal field at a young age. Growing up as a first-generation Mexican-American, Kayla had to experience firsthand the difficulties and legal obstacles many immigrant families face when going through legal proceedings. As a result, this ignited a passion in Kayla to be a legal advocate and an asset to her community. Family is the most important to Kayla and her past experiences have only reassured her of what she wants to do in life which is to be there for families striving for a better life. Kayla is currently pursuing a career as a paralegal. She aspires to become someone helpful to our community by using her fluent skills in Spanish and English to help others get one step closer to their American Dream. At De Armas & De Armas Law, Kayla works with victims of crime, asylum applicants, cancellation of removal applicants, and individuals working on petitions with USCIS. Kayla has experience preparing complex immigration forms and organizing evidence to strengthen cases before the Executive Office for Immigration Review and Immigration Court. Kayla is also a student member of the Hispanic Bar Association of Michigan, an organization that promotes and educates the Hispanic and Latino communities and provides representation in all areas of the law.
